About Us

It's not easy to describe yourself in all your glory, so we decided to big each other up! (think we need to weave this into our programs) Anyway, here goes... 

Jo is one of the most creative and practical people I know. Her previous roles in life reflect that – costume designer and chef! It’s interesting how she chose jobs that feed and clothe people – for me, this simply reinforces the fact she is an innately nurturing person.

She’s a single Mum to two teens and a whole host of animals! Move aside Mary Poppins :-)

We met when our girls started at the same primary school. We were both doing other stuff back then. What struck me immediately about Jo is her energy and passion. She throws herself ‘all in’. She is a fiercely loyal friend and that spills over in to her coaching. You feel yourself drawn into her positive bubble of energy. She doesn’t just go through the motions. You know she absolutely wants you to succeed. To have the life you want. It’s infectious. Her belief in people allows them to believe in themselves.

She’s a ‘doer’. I’ll still be chewing over how to get started, turn round and she’s already rolled up her sleeves and got stuck in. So, when it comes to her coaching, she’s very results driven. Yep, she gives folks the time to explore and reflect on what we share in our programs but she’s always gently nudging people toward their goals. She’s quick to see when folks are ready to let self-sabotage take over and is straight in there to steer them back on course.

She is very straight talking and yet you still come away feeling loved and cared for. Even though she may have just blown your noodle with a brutal home truth.

I love the way she cuts through all the ‘coachy’ bs I see so many other coaches hide behind. She talks in ‘normal’ language, with the odd swear word thrown in, when something needs emphasising, and a huge dollop of humour, which means she’s able to relate to people and meet them exactly where they are. And more importantly people can relate to her. 

She freely shares her own life experiences to show you how she gets where you’re coming from. She let’s you know you’re not alone in what you’re going through. I think it’s her absolute acceptance of people that allows clients to feel like a huge weight has been lifted. All too often our clients have been holding their emotional baggage for decades and it’s like they finally feel comfortable enough to dare to exhale. 

She always seems to know the right questions to ask. To really get you thinking about the ideas we share. To start to see things from a different perspective. This really helps folks to reframe and to believe change is possible. Again, it comes back to her lack of bs. When Jo lays it on you, you believe her. Somehow it doesn’t feel scary or unattainable. It feels obvious and like this was exactly the response you’d been waiting for.

And that leads me to the next thing about Jo…She’s incredibly insightful. It’s as if she can immediately see past the face we present to the outside world and sense who you really are. 

This other layer to her is a more spiritual layer. It’s more reflective and the quieter side to her personality. It’s the questions she doesn’t ask but seems to know the answers to. 

We talk a lot about understanding the cause of issues not just addressing the symptoms and this is where Jo’s skills really kick in. Like I say she can sense what’s going on for you at a level that you probably have never explored before. It’s such a deeply comforting feeling to be understood. To not be judged and to know someone has got your back.
